Frequently Asked Questions

How does the membership level work (for undergraduate students)?
  • In Beta Alpha Psi, you are either a Candidate, Initiate, Up for Membership, or Initiated. Your status depends on your current Accounting, Finance, or Information systems class. Please refer to the Membership Status page for a detailed explanation of different levels. 

How does the membership level work (for Master’s students)?
  • Like the memberships for undergraduate students, your status depends on your current Accounting class. Please refer to the Membership Status page for a detailed explanation of different levels. 

How does the Point System work? (Technology Administrator oversees Points)
  • BAP Professional Points (BAP PP): 15 points 

  • Professional Points (PP): 10 points 

  • Tutoring Points (TP): 5 points 

  • Community Service Points (CSP): 10 points

  • Admin Points (AP): 5 points

    Total points needed for the semester:  45 points*

      *1 hour = 1.2 points

How does probation work?
  • If you fail to complete all areas of points required or if your GPA falls below BAP standards, you will be placed on probation the following semester. If you fail to complete all areas of points required or fail to raise your GPA to BAP standards the semester you are on probation, you will be removed from BAP.

How do I get my sash for graduation?
  • Sashes are for Initiated Members the semester you are graduating and you will be contacted to fill out a sash form. If you are currently enrolled in CSUN the semester you expect to walk and fail to pay for membership, you will need to pay your membership fee ($40) in addition to the sash fee. If you were not contacted, please contact vicepresident.membership@csunbap.org
