Superior Chapter
The Epsilon Chi Chapter is proud to announce the recognition of Superior Status for the 2023-2024 year. Superior Status is a title given to Chapters by the national Beta Alpha Psi organization. This title is a testament to the dedication of our members in the Epsilon Chi Chapter.
We look forward to a great semester with all our members and know that with your dedication, we can achieve our goal of reaching Gold Status again!
How do we earn Superior Status?
Active involvement from our members and the events we offer help us achieve Superior Status. The Epsilon Chi Chapter hosts a variety of professional, service, and reaching out events. Professional events include our technical meetings, Meet the Firms, and weekend seminars. Service events include our community service events. Reaching out activities include high school outreaches, the alumni event, and initiation dinner.
Do all members play a role in helping achieve Superior Status?
Absolutely! All our members are essential in regards to Chapter status. Each month, our Chapter reports how active our members have been at the events we hosted. Many of the events we host such as the Alumni Event also require a 25% attendance rate from our members. This is why active involvement from all our members is vital to maintaining this status.
What other statuses can the Epsilon Chi Chapter earn?
The next goal of The Epsilon Chi Chapter is to achieve Gold Status. Gold Status was only rewarded to 12 of the 310 Chapters for the 2015-2016 year. To earn this status, our chapter must earn Superior Status two years in a row. This means we must maintain our Superior Status for the 2019-2020 year. During the 2020-2021 year, our Chapter will prepare for the Gold Chapter competition.
Has our Chapter earned Gold Status before?
Yes! Back in 2009-2010, 2010-2011, and 2012-2013, The Epsilon Chi Chapter earned Gold Status three out of four years. The recognition of Gold Status and the active involvement of our members was one of the reasons CSUN’s Accounting Program became so well-known across California. This is why active involvement from accounting students in organizations like Beta Alpha Psi is essential to maintaining CSUN’s prestige
